Numerology is the ancient study of the meanings of numbers using a date or name, or both. It tells you which numbers are vibrating in your life, when they are in effect, and what the vibrations could mean. Numerology can tell you many different things about your personal life, business, or world and universal affairs. It will show you the path your life takes and the sub-paths or branches from that path, including your high points and challenges.

All numbers are reduced to single digits except for 11 and 22 when they are found in major places such as the Path of Life, Soul Urge and the Planes of Expression. The numbers 11 and 22 are called Master Numbers. They have special meanings and sometimes must be reduced to a single digit because Master Numbers are too hard to live up to for some people. These are noted 11/2 and 22/4 to allow for both possible meanings. Everything goes in cycles from 1 to 9, as the number 9 is the ultimate number in numerology and the Universe.

Each number has a positive and a negative meaning:

Positive - used to expand and understand, with confidence and certainty.

Negative - obstacles and consequences of our own pessimistic actions.

The Path of Life or Birth Force is what you were sent to earth with, what you are to do, what your nature is, what talents you have, and what you are really like. This is your nature, your road in life. If this is lived in a positive , optimistic manner, you could reach your goal successfully. If lived in a pessimistic way, there could be adverse reactions.

the Path of Life is the single digit number found by using the birth date. In astrology, the birth time is considered very important when making a correct chart. In numerology, the only time it is questioned is if someone was born around midnight in a Daylight Savings Time period. If someone was born between midnight and one a.m. Daylight Savings Time, their Universal date is actually the day before. In such a case the time needs verifying because it could change the birth date and all the other places where the correct date is needed.

The Soul Urge describes your innermost person - your hopes, dreams, longings, soul motivations, and desires. This Soul Urge may be known to you, but you may not be expressing it outwardly or living it. You could be depressing your inner feelings or urges - what you would like to be or do, your secret goals or ambitions.

All letters in a full name are used to express ourselves. The Planes of Expression tells how each letter in our name is helping to bring about this expression. There are four Planes by which we can describe ourselves: the Mental, the Physical, the Emotional, and the Intuitive. These planes can tell us about our temperaments - whether we are practical or dependable, for example - and it can help determine what kind of job we are suited for. In other words, it points out our assets and liabilities, our pluses and minuses. It shows where we have the most knowledge and ability. A shortage on one Plane does not mean that the person is completely lacking in that quality, because it could be vibrating in one of the major numbers elsewhere.
